ABOUT US

Book of Time

Historical Adventures for UK Primary Schools

Our mission

Book of Time is a curriculum-aligned YouTube channel that brings history to life for UK primary school children in Years 1–6 (Key Stages 1 and 2). Two step-siblings, Hugo and Maya, discover their late Grandad Arthur's magical book and Hourglass Pendant — and travel through time to the Romans, Vikings, Egyptians, Victorians and beyond.

Every episode is built around the UK National Curriculum history programmes of study, written with classroom teachers in mind. We believe history is most powerful when children can see it, hear it and ask questions about it — so each episode surfaces one Word of the Day, one Then vs Now comparison, and one Big Question worth discussing back in the classroom.

Book of Time episodes are published on YouTube and are free to stream in the classroom. All activity packs are free to print and share for non-commercial classroom or home use.
